About Me

Andrew Joffe
I made my first music video for a band that I used to play with. I'd been working as an electric for a couple of years, and my cousin Matt Joffe (left) was an up-and-coming DP. So I asked him and everyone I knew to help out. We made something special--something we wanted to see-- and the video got noticed. Vice Magazine even wrote an article about it. I'd officially caught the filmmaking bug, and wanted to direct any project I could get my hands on. And I still do.
There is no feeling in the world like the one you get from dreaming something up, working your ass off to make it, and then birthing it into existence. It's always worth it. But you cannot do it without good people in your corner. I've always been lucky to have brilliant and passionate collaborators.
My cousin's taught me so much about filmmaking and producing, and the crews we surround ourselves with are loyal, hardworking, and fun to be around. Matt and I have been through a lot together and occasionally co-direct projects, which is always a special experience.
I try to push people to find their absolute best-- whether it's a performance, a camera angle, or an iconic wardrobe choice. I love to joke around, have fun, and fall in love with the process. Otherwise, what's the point? If it ain't fun, we might as well let the robots do it.
